Baby Ballet | 22m-3y

From First Steps to First Pirouettes! A fun ballet based movement class for toddlers 12 weeks

Duration VariesEMBA Studio

What to expect

This is an EMBA studio class created and delivered by Cleopatra Joseph who has a Private teacher permit. 12 Weeks Ages twenty-two months to three years Our Baby Ballet class offers a ballet-based creative movement experience where children not only learn the fundamentals of ballet, but also explore their unique movement potential. In a warm and supportive environment, they develop both gross and fine motor skills. This program introduces young dancers to the beauty of classical music, while incorporating playful props, imaginative stories, and costumes to bring the essence of ballet to life in a fun and engaging way. We invite carers into the classroom, providing opportunities for ‘Mummy and Me’ moments of participation. The aim is for carers to gradually allow their baby to explore and enjoy aspects of the class independently while still having the option to ‘check back in’ and make contact periodically. Expect a slow and gentle opening phase with plenty of behaviour reminders. We move through a selection of exercises that are alternated throughout the term which each correspond to a piece of music and has a specific prop or toy to engage using only the most appropriate formalised movement. We will usually end with calming sensory toys and low stimulation exercises before closing with a traditional reverance.
